Round 1: SwiftIQ
Time Limit: 20 mins
SwiftIQ is a rapid-fire round where teams must answer questions using mental math. SwiftIQ is a buzzer round with a time limit. It tests the teams' ability to think quickly and accurately.
One student from each team must have a buzzer app installed on their phone.
- The question will be displayed on the screen; the team has to solve the question without using calculator or paper-pen.
- The team that presses the buzzer first gets the opportunity to answer the question.
- To maintain order, only one person from the team should provide the answer.
- There will be 10 questions.
- The decision of the judges will be final.
Round 2: Paradox Pursuit
Time Limit: 20 mins
Paradox Pursuit is an event similar to Sudoku but with an intriguing twist. This event promises to challenge your problem-solving skills, sharpen your logical thinking, and provide a fun yet competitive atmosphere.
- Each team will get a grid to solve.
- The grid will feature two lines: a purple line and a green line. These lines will indicate the sequence of movement within the grid.
- The event will feature newly designed rules, though they will largely align with the traditional Sudoku format.
- Teams must submit their final snippet within the allotted time.
- The decision of the judges will be final.
Round 3: Trivia Thrill
Time Limit: 30 mins
Trivia is a quiz round designed to test student’s IQ and logical thinking skills. The questions will be more challenging compared to the previous round. Within the given time, the team must guess the correct answer.
- The questions will appear on the screen, and the team must guess the correct answers.
- Each question will have a set time limit.
- At the end of the round, the overall scores will be calculated, and the top-performing teams will advance to the next round.
- The decision of the judges will be final.
Round 4: The Logic Labyrinth
Time Limit: 40 mins
“The Logic Labyrinth” is a group activity designed to make math practice engaging and competitive. It is a maths relays where all members will participate in sequence. Each member will contribute to the solving part of the questions, ensuring effective team work and time management.
Work strategically and communicate effectively to maximize the number of solved questions!
- For this round, all three team members will participate individually in sequence:
- The first member starts by solving the first question. If they are unable to solve it, they may skip the question, and the second member will step in to continue.
- The second member can solve the second question and may also attempt the first question left unanswered by the first member.
- After the second member passes, the third member will step in to solve the final question. If he/she solve it quickly, then may also attempt any unanswered questions from the first and second.
- All three questions will be challenging, so it’s crucial to solve them efficiently as the total time for the round is limited to 40 minutes.
- At the end of the round, the total number of questions solved by the team will determine their total score.
- The decision of the judges will be final.
